This was my final project in my “Illustrating Graphic Novels” class. Essentially I had free reign to create whatever story I wanted as long as it was more than 6 pages. My experience with The Sealkiller taught me that I needed to be economical with my time in creating comics. So I decided to design silly characters that were quick to draw and wouldn’t be terrible distracting if they were a bit off-model. A simple color scheme was also important to save time. As for a story, I figured it’d be quicker and more entertaining to write something absurd. So I looked at all the silly woodland creatures I’d designed and thought it would be funny if they were in a political thriller.
